Cookies & measurement
Cookies are small pieces of information saved by a website in your browser. Browser storage can also remember a setting without using a cookie. This page explains the choices on the Synerics website.
Your measurement choice
Optional measurement stays off unless you allow it.
Remembering your choice
We save your measurement choice in this browser’s local storage under synerics.measurement.v1 for up to 180 days. This setting supports your privacy choice and is not used to track you. Clearing browser data, changing browser or using another device may mean you need to choose again. If browser storage is blocked, your choice applies to the current page only.
Optional Google measurement
Google Tag Manager loads only after you allow measurement. It delivers Google Analytics for the site. Analytics helps us understand visits, pages used, referral sources and general device and browser information. It also counts successful enquiries without including the details you entered. Google receives connection information when your browser contacts its servers. These controls allow website analytics only; advertising cookies and personalised advertising remain off.
When Google Analytics is enabled, it may set first-party cookies such as _ga, used to distinguish browsers, and _ga_<measurement-id>, used to maintain session information. Google’s default expiry for these cookies is two years; the site’s tag configuration and browser restrictions can shorten this. See Google’s cookie information and Google’s Privacy Policy.
Changing your mind
Use the controls above or the Cookie settings link in any page footer. Declining prevents Google measurement from loading on subsequent page views. If it has already loaded, we stop it from sending measurement data and remove recognised first-party Google measurement cookies where possible. Your draft enquiry stays on the page. Measurement also stops when your saved choice expires. Withdrawing your choice does not remove information already sent to Google.
You can also delete or block cookies and browser storage through your browser settings. The website’s information and enquiry form do not depend on allowing optional measurement.
